The video output on my iPod works great. As everyone knows now, Apple requires a chip to be in the video out cable for OS 3.x for the iPod Touch and iPhone. Must buy the Apple cable for this to work.

This cable does not work with my ipod touch. It will actually start to play the video and then the ipod gives a message saying "not compatible with this ipod" and then the video shuts off. Not sure if it works with other ipod versions or not, but be careful if you plan to use with ipod touch. Could it be a firmware version issue??

Hooked it up to my 60GB iPod 5G
Set video out to ON, NTSC, and Widescreen
Played a movie and it looks decent on the HDTV.
600MB movie file appears about VHS quality.
I also bought the $.49 cable that goes in the headphone jack and it works just as well.
Note - I have rockbox installed and this only works if you boot to normal iPod mode. Menu + Select for 5 seconds to reboot then hold switch to ON when apple logo appears.

This cable does not work no matter what other people say! I plugged it in to my ipod touch 2nd generation and it worked for a couple seconds. But after about 3 seconds a message came up saying "this accessory does not work with this ipod, then only the sound worked. So if your trying to do anything except listen to music I suggest not buying this.

I have ordered this product twice. The first time I ordered it, I received a standard RCA to iPod/iPhone cable that worked with both my iPod classic and iPhone. That cable later on got caught accidentally in my vacuum and was broken, so I ordered this cable again. This time, I received a cable that had an iPod/iPhone jack on one end and both RCA and USB cables on the other. When I tired to use the RCA cable with my iPhone, it did not work. It did, however work with my iPod classic, but the video quality was sub-par. I do not recommend ordering this product, as it is not necessarily what is pictured/advertised.
