If you are a Sci-Fi fan, then this is right up your alley. It is made of soft rubber, doesn't smell like normal rubber, but it looks REALLY cool! The protection screen is very nice as well. I have messed up 2 protection screens while saving my actually screen itself. One small drawback is the screen can scratch easy, but it protects what it has too. Also, the belt clip is a little cheap as well. If you are not careful, you can break the belt clip. I have not found a place to get a replacement for either the screen or belt clip, so I had to buy a new case. In the end, it was still worth it. The dial is exposed so that can get scratched and marred up.

The only way to make this a perfect item: sell the screen and belt clip as separate replacement items.

I bought this and it looks great. It protects well. It has a hole for the touch pad, and a plastic piece to cover the screen. It's rubber, so it protects against water if it gets splashed slightly (again, there is a hole for the touch pad, so it's far from water-proof). There are also holes for the headphones, lock switch, and connector at the bottom (there are no covers for these holes). So, if you are only connecting the wire to the connector at the bottom, you are ok. The downfalls are that the plastic piece that covers the screen gets scratched pretty easily, and the rubber case stretches out. Since the case is "chunky", you cannot leave the iPod in it if you want to connect it to one of the many radio devices out there. Since most of them hold the iPod snugly and securely, a thick case like this impedes on the ability to connect the iPod. Therefore, you must remove the iPod from this case. Well, doing that once or twice stretches the rubber and it never snaps back to its original tautness. After a while the plastic screen slides around easily and even falls out easily. It's a great case if you never plan on removing it from the case. However, if you are constantly hooking it up to something that fits snugly around it, you will end up with a loose case and constantly realigning the plastic screen cover.

well needless to say that I am a butterfinger. I bought this for protection from accidental dropping by me. It works perfectly but I wanted an added protection to put the Ipod touch into with this rubber thing still on it. Most cases for the Ipod touch didn't fit if you have this rubber mat on it, so, I took out my old case for the sony Clie and it fitted perfectly along with the earbuds. If you know a butterfinger in your family get him this and the cloth case that works perfectly with this. It has enough room for the brochures that came with the ipod touch along with a few business/credit cards if you need to put it in the outter pocket. [...]



If you roll up your earbuds and put it in the same comparment as the ipod touch, you can fit a credit card, about 6 folded up bills, and the manuel.

The case feels durable and is nice to touch and hold. The color is beautiful.

I really liked the fact that it covers the home button as well.

Seems to provide a good protection for the ipod even on rough drops.

The only thing that may need improvement was the bottom opening - the case is sometimes pinched by the cable plug.

I've been searching for an iPod Touch 2G case for a very long time and even after finding this product I was skeptical about it. However, skeptical is something that I am no longer. There are reviews saying this is hard rubber and that's just not true. The iPod slides in like a breeze, it's soft to the touch and flexible. The home, volume and sleep buttons can all be very easily accessed. I'm talking no trouble at all. It increases the grip substancially and it's not all that bulky. There is also no problems with charging it or plugging in head phones.



Now the cons. The does impede the speaker a little bit. It's harder to hear music or video, etc. The grip is increwed substancially, but there are things they could've done in that department. Someone mentioned perforating the pixels on it. Lastly, it is thicker than the other silicon cases I've looked at and while I do feel my iPod is safer in this than all of those, it still feels like there could be more protection. Although that could be just becuase they case adds virtually no weight to it.



Anywho, I gave this 5 stars because, although it's not perfect, it is the best silicon case that I've seen. It fits better than bulky hard shell cases, it looks better than the cheap silicon products and the hard shell cases and it still protects enough for me to not constantly worry about it's safetly. I would highly suggest buying this product because you won't find another silicon case out there as good as this one.
