Bought it knowing that it's cheap, but still thought it would work at least one time. Not even that. I bought three, and not a single one worked.

The price is right so I'm not sending it back. However whenever I use it I get the message the usb device is using to much power it will be ejected. I use a 2.4ghz macbook It doesn't seem to have any syncing problems, but it really is a cheap piece of plastic.

After reading the reviews I figured that I should probably buy a couple of these babies(might as well for the price). After receiving two in the mail I have only had to use one because it works flawlessly! I have a windows XP Toshiba laptop that I use it with on itunes. Just pop the little thing into the usb and and it starts syncing and charging just as well as it would with the expensive apple brand connector. In fact, my shuffle is charging on my computer with this very product as I type this. If you need a usb connector for your shuffle, this is the one (but you should probably get two just to be safe).

So you have gone to the trouble of purchasing a 2G Shuffle (the real one, made out of metal) as a "second iPod"; you have at least one laptop upon which you depend for many of the essential features of 21st century life; then why in heaven's name should you have to put up with the brain-damaged dock that Apple insists on selling with the Shuffle?
This adapter plugs into a USB port and into your 2G Shuffle, and you are off to the races. Small, easy to fit in the tighest spaces (mine stays in the carry case of my ASUS Eee PC 4G (7-Inch Display, Intel Mobile Processor, 512 MB RAM, 4 GB Hard Drive, Linux Preloaded) Pearl White, which is itself breathtakingly small and functional), and just plain cool.
Works with Mac, Microsoft and my ASUS Linux-derived OS -- so buy one! You'll thank me later.

ive been using it a few days now. i got it as a replacement since my old one was stolen. so far it works really well, i would say it works better than the one that comes with the ipod. it seems to charge and transfer a lot faster. the original dock had a hard time detecting my ipod, but this one is almost instant. i bought two just in case. its really small and easily forgotten.
