It appears to do this job fine.



My primary complaint is the Eye Piercing Blue LED. This LED should have been red. The blue LED is an annoyance when driving at night.

You can't see from the product photos or description, but it does have a power indicator light on top. It glows a soft blue from under the plastic when it's plugged in. I originally got this for my car but it's a little on the large side, so I decided instead I'll use it for travel when I'm in a rental car and I want to bring just one charger with me. The quick charge port is for the iPhone, the other port I will use to charge the bluetooth headset. For my own car I also got the Belkin Micro charger which is cute and tiny and out of the way.

I bought this charger hoping it would give me the ability to charge both my iPod Nano and Motorola V950 Renegade phone simultaneously while I'm on the long hauls over the road. It plugged in snugly to my DC accessory output port and the blue light lit right up indicating it had power. Looked kinda cool in the dark too... When I plugged in the iPod adapter cable to the charger and my Nano it began charging immediately. I plugged the OEM Micro USB to Mini USB (SKN6252) adapter cable that I also purchased into the mini adapter cable (provided with the charger) then to my V950 Renegade phone and wha-lah...! It too began charging immediately as well... I left them both plugged in for about 30 minutes and had a full charge on both, all the while I was listening to the iPod in the background and talking on the phone simultaneously. The Belkin Dual Car Charger along with the Micro USB to Mini USB cable adapter specifically made for the Motorola V950 Renegade is a perfect combination for me. The total price was right for both items that I purchased at $25.48 shipping and handling included. A great buy, great quality, and very functional...

Charging my iPhone 3G and bluetooth headset with this. Both wires were included, one for bluetooth which is a usb and an iPhone/iPod charging cable. I have had no problems with the quick charger port and my iPhone so I don't think there is anything to worry about there. There was enough cable in the iPhone line for me to answer a call in my 06 Honda Civic. Don't know about other cars considering different vehicles have chargers closer or further away. Just saying if you need to answer a call and your bluetooth isn't up and running you can answer calls just fine when it's plugged in. Also, I like that the charging cable for the iPhone doesn't have those little claws in the cable that make you push in both sides of the cable in order to release it. Just yank it out and go.

The ear pieces that come with the iPod are uncomfortable and tend to fall out a lot. I love the earpieces that came in this set. I also like being able to charge my iPod on vacation without having to bring my computer. I haven't tried the arm band and case yet but I'm looking forward to using them to take my iPod to the gym. I used the clear cover on my iPod - it's a bit tricky to put on without getting any dust under the cover but after a few tries and the use of tape to remove little pieces of dust, I was able to get the cover on with a clear screen (no bubbles or debris). Would recommend this to friends - a nice supplement to the iPod Touch.

Considering the very low price, my expectations were accordingly low... until I read the other reviews on the product, which led me to believe I was in for some stellar deal - so I went ahead and ordered it.



First off, this order arrived VERY quickly... faster than the UPS-shipped order I placed within the same hour, to be sure. However, based on the look of the dilapidated USPS Mili-Pac (TM) it arrived in, it looked like the guys in the seller's packaging and shipment department decided to play a friendly game of catch with it, possibly followed by basketball and a little football practice. In other words, the Mili-Pac was all but torn to shreds, frankly, and this did not make a very good first impression... I was even a little hesitant to pick it up off my porch for fear of what it might be until I saw the return address. Regardless, the actual products inside did arrive, and quickly. So allow me to expound on those...



- Silicone skin case: Nothing to write home about. Just a generic iPod Touch skin, though I think it was actually designed with the iPhone in mind, as it has a small hole where the iPhone's earpiece would be. Regardless, it does what it needs to do, fits the iPod Touch just fine, and has the slots in the back for the included elastic wrist strap.



- USB car charger: Now this one scared me a little bit... Not only was it just rolling around inside the package without any individual wrapping, it also sports a curious little brown stain along one side... It's barely noticeable, but it's there, and I'm careful not to touch it until I can find some means of removing it. The charger does, however, seem to work all right at least, so no worries there.



- USB home charger: Fine and dandy. Does what it's supposed to, though do note that it doesn't charge as fast as plugging your iPod Touch into your Mac/PC.



- Screen protector: Individual packaging reads "Professional ScreenGUARD", also appears to be designed with the iPhone in mind (an iPhone is pictured on the package), has a sticker reading "For iTouch" inconspicuously stuck onto said packaging, and appears to hail from some nation in eastern Asia. It does, however, work just fine, and fits the iPod Touch as well as it would fit an iPhone... though calling it "re-usable" is being a bit generous.



- USB data cable: Not much to go wrong with here. It is what it claims to be, and operates accordingly.



- Elastic armband: An elastic armband. Attach to an appropriate iPod Touch silicone skin case and wear on arm or wrist to free both hands and pockets.



- 3.5mm stereo headset: Threw them out shortly after fitting one earbud in. Absolute trash, but the description never claims they're anything special. Oh, and they come with cushioned covers that seem infallibly absorbent of earwax.



So in summary, for the price, it's no bad buy... but frankly, I wish I'd gotten it all for free. Then I wouldn't feel bad about throwing away the headset or sanitizing the car charger.

Go for it if you really want to , but if I ever need these things again, I'll be looking elsewhere.

After reading the reviews I figured that I should probably buy a couple of these babies(might as well for the price). After receiving two in the mail I have only had to use one because it works flawlessly! I have a windows XP Toshiba laptop that I use it with on itunes. Just pop the little thing into the usb and and it starts syncing and charging just as well as it would with the expensive apple brand connector. In fact, my shuffle is charging on my computer with this very product as I type this. If you need a usb connector for your shuffle, this is the one (but you should probably get two just to be safe).

So you have gone to the trouble of purchasing a 2G Shuffle (the real one, made out of metal) as a "second iPod"; you have at least one laptop upon which you depend for many of the essential features of 21st century life; then why in heaven's name should you have to put up with the brain-damaged dock that Apple insists on selling with the Shuffle?

ive been using it a few days now. i got it as a replacement since my old one was stolen. so far it works really well, i would say it works better than the one that comes with the ipod. it seems to charge and transfer a lot faster. the original dock had a hard time detecting my ipod, but this one is almost instant. i bought two just in case. its really small and easily forgotten.

Not much use for a charger that doesn't work. By the way, it has the "green dot" and is exactly the same look and feel as the original Apple charger. The power adapter came in within my delivery estimate, so that makes me happy, as I am leaving for school I wanted to get it in before I left. The one I received has the green dot, so I know it's safe for use.

I put my iPod to charge last night while I slept, because that is the best time for me, and I do not like leaving my computer on over night. Turns out (I did not know that) that since I do not have it plugged into my computer I can still play my music while it's charging. Very happy about that. I am very pleased with this product, and plan on using it whenever my iPod battery gets low (unless I need to add new songs to it.)

Got the power adapter and cable today, and plugged my iPhone 3Gs into it -- the connection is intermittent (the icon on the iPhone jumps between the lightning bolt and the plug icons) , and when I pulled the cable out of the power adapter, the cover came off the connection -- neither of which would have happened with a real Apple cable and adapter. I'll try one more time to charge my iPhone, if it doesn't work better this time, I'll return this setup and it's off to the Apple store to get the real thing.

When I bought it, I had my suspicions on its authenticity. $4, though, it was worth a try. It froze up my iPod (itouch 2nd gen.)-temporarily-as in the "slide to unlock" didnt respond to touch,...and, to top it all off, it didn't charge it. So basically I paid to have my iPod messed up.



The picture on amazon is the same pic that apple posted. I zoomed in on it-the thing is 200% fake. If you look carefully, some words are spelled wrong-"designd" and "equipmnet" It also makes a weird clicking sound when its plugged in.
