I've had an iphone ever since it first came out. I use the fabulous screen on my iphone to view video. Thus, I do not use this ipod for video even though it has that capability. I got this ipod because I wanted to be able to put on tons of music, audiobooks and podcasts, all onto a single machine. This is that machine. It works perfectly. The audio is wonderful on it. Perhaps I could use the video on it had the iphone not spoiled me. But if video is what you are really looking for, I would get an iphone or an ipod touch, not this ipod. There are a few things that you are not told to do in managing your ipod that you really should be. First, in itunes, under your settings, check off "sound check" so the machine performs a sound check. If you do not do this, one day you will have problems, usually only being able to hear audio only in one ear. You want these sound checks to be performed on this ipod. Second, you need to reclassify audio tracks that don't come in as audiobooks to audiobooks or it will ruin your song lineup and shuffle feature. You click on information (command plus I) for the track(s) you've selected, go to options, and then check off "audiobook". You also need to check off "audiobook instead of music" and "resume from where you left off" and "don't include in shuffle". If you can't follow my instructions, just do a google search on these issues and you will get plenty of answers to solve these problems. Finally, this works perfectly with an fm plug in device for your car (I got mine from Belkin) so that you can listen to your ipod through your car's fm radio. That device also recharges your ipod in your car.

Like some people has pointed out in their reviews, this is a fantastic ipod if your planning to carry around lots of music and content with you, but before you rush out to buy one, here are some aspects that i would have love to know before i bought mine.
Firstly, this is a slow ipod. ( because of its hardware technology, might take a few secs to load a song, it might even freeze for a couple of secs in the worst case ) secondly, the click wheel is not as sensitive as other ipod models, wich means its somewhat complicated to operate, lastly since i bought the black version of it, i assume this version is easy to scratch on its front side ( not to mention the backside, looks like I've had it for years and i bought it 2 weeks ago )
Besides that, its the same ipod we all know and love, the battery performance is good, the weight is also ok, and the screen is all right for its price.
if youre not bothered for the things I mention above, you should definitely get one.

I am a person who has been slow to enter the high tech arena, but the Apple iPod has made it easy to do. I continue to be amazed at the capabilities of this small device. I have not yet come anywhere close to filling up my iPod with songs, but mine already holds the equivalent of 25-30 CD's.
Music sounds great with headphones or in my Boston Acoustics iPod dock. I was concerned about getting a "lemon," but it was well-protected in its mailing carton, and it worked right out of the box. I would buy it again.

You know it's an iPod, it's really nice and you have a lot of space for videos and music, the price it's the same in every store

Product arrived as described. I love it! Lots of storage for music/photos......
The only negative: I did have to purchase earbuds - the set that comes with are not very comfortable.
